Sinful Colors Castaway Collection

I picked up 2 colors from the Sinful Colors Castaway Collection- Neptune and Zeus.  Neptune is a royal blue with silver glass-fleck.  Very unique and lovely.  Zeus I am in love with- blurple/periwinkle color with loads of fine pink shimmer.  Almost has a duochrome look to it.  Amazing.  Behold...

Zeus- God of the Sky   2 Coats

Neptune- God of the Sea    2 Coats

Formula was pretty good on both- no probs.  Found these at Walgreens.

China Glaze Electropop Colors

The two colors I have from the Electropop collection so far are Gothic Lolita and Aquadelic.  Trying hard to resist Electric Beat and Sweet Hook from the same collection.  (I have a problem)

I found the formula on Gothic Lolita to be horrendous- thick but runny, ugh.  You're painting away and all of these drips start forming up on the stem and running down onto your nails.  So mad, like wanna punch babies mad.  (no, I don't actually punch babies)  It is wonderful color, but I just got so mad when I looked at it, remembering all the hell it put me through.  Maybe I just got a bad bottle?  Didn't hear of other people having this problem.

2 coats

After I got tired of looking at it all day I added Pure Ice Busted on top-  look at that SHIMMA!

Bottle shot of Busted- If you don't have this you NEED it

Aquadelic had a much nicer formula than Gothic Lolita.  Nearly opaque at one coat, perfect at 2.  More turquoise and darker than the pics show.  Lovely robins egg blue.  Will look unbelievable on toes in the summer.

After a day to jazz it up- a coat of Essie As Gold as it Gets
(Sorry for the craptastic pic here)

OPI Holland Colors

I just have 2 of the Holland Collection by OPI so far-  Dutch Ya Just Love OPI and I Have a Herring Problem.  I'd really like to get a Roll in the Hague and possibly Wooden Shoe Like to Know also, we'll see.  Formula was good, I did 2 coats on Dutch and 3 on Herring Problem.

Dutch Ya Just Love OPI is a plum with pink/gold shimmer...just lovely.  Got some compliments on this one.  I wore this as a full mani so this is with Seche topcoat.  I don't have Zoya Tru but this is a reported dupe.

Cheap Drugstore Duochromes!

Ahhhh, the drugstore duochrome...so pretty and full of promise in the bottle, then such a disappointment on the nail. We've all been burned before.   But then I saw Sally Hansen Black Tie on Nightly Nails blog and I just had to check it out.  So glad I gave this one a chance...Gorgeous!  Charcoal Multichrome that flashes pink, purple, aqua and green.  I've been really impressed with the diamond strength line from Sally Hansen.  I have several of them and they are all quite nice.

This is 2 coats over 1 coat Wet N Wild Creme

Yummy!

Sally Hansen DVD.  I've drooled over this in the store many times.  Blue and purple duochrome...ooooohhhh.  I passed on it because I assumed it wouldn't be any good on the nail and it was over $6 at some stores- a little steep for drugstore polish. But then Rite Aid had it for 75% off so I was SOLD.  And I have to say, not bad.  Very thin and watery formula so wouldn't be good on its own- but I planned on layering it over black to accentuate the duochromeness(?)  or duochromonisity?    hmmmmmm...
2 coats over 1 coat Wet N Wild Black

Well worth $1.25

The Black Knight Franken

So- Here's a super easy franken for you guys!  A fairly good dupe for Butter London's The Black Knight.  A mix of Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink and Wet N Wild Black Creme.  I also threw in some other random glitters to make it more multi-colored but it looked great with just those 2.  This was the first franken I made a few weeks ago and I've made like 10 more since then- So much fun!  Rockstar Pink is $2.99 - mix it with whatever black creme you have laying around- much better than $14, eh?

Wet n Wild It's all in the Cut

Fine Lavender glitter with larger round pink glitter.  Part of the Color Icon Ice Baby Collection.  This is the 3rd one of these I have along with Back Alley Deals and Cost Is no Issue.  This one is not as vibrant as the others in the collection, but it's purple glitter so it was calling my name!  Now, this was released as a Holiday 2011 collection and at first I only saw the picked over display at Walgreens back in December- but this week I found a new display at CVS.  So if you "need" some of this collection don't give up hope- maybe they're gonna be around for while or at least be available in more stores.

Application was nice and easy, dried incredibly fast and super gritty- 2 coats here.  This glitter is THIRSTY!!  Used an unbelievable 3 coats of Gelous followed by a coat of Seche Vite!

Lacquistry Tepes

Another polish from Lacquistry- what a beauty!  A smokey jelly base with gold, orange and purple glitter.  Simply amazing!  Dries quickly, wears like iron as most glitters do- but the color is incredibly unique.  These amazing etsy stores and their frankens are going to hurt my wallet for sure!  Loving Jenna's polishes and can't wait to try some Nerd Laquer and Dollish Polish as well!  (So much for cutting back!)

Lacquistry Cotton Candy

Are you SERIOUS?!?  How beautiful is this?  If you haven't been to Jenna's Etsy store Lacquistry, you really need to.  She had the most amazing glitters- this was so unique and bright I just had to have it!  Med blue glitter with large pink hex glitter in a light pink jelly base.   I literally took the bottle everywhere with me for like 3 days.  I carried it in my purse so I could show everyone that asked about it (or didn't).  I kept in on my desk while at work.  I even sat with it at the dinner table and stared at it while I ate.  Don't judge me, it's that good!

This was pretty thick- I was so focused on "placing" the large hex glitters that I ended up glooping it on so the pics are quite bumpy.  This was base coat, 2 coats of Elf metallic pink, 2 coats of CC, 1 coat Gelous, 1 coat Seche Vite.  It was a very hungry glitter so I added another coat of Gelous and Seche Vite the next day and it was nice and smooth.

I was stopped, I promise!!

Mesmerizing!
